  • A Perfect Sunday

Yesterday as we were getting ready to leave church, I had an idea.  This one was a humdinger.

Sid and I were on our way home and I said, "I have an idea for lunch."  I explained it to him and he said "That sounds GOOD."

First of all, you must know it was raining and dreary and cloudy outside.  This is important information.
Second, you must know that we cancelled church last night due to the holiday the day before.  Do not ask me to explain this.  We just went with it and were glad.

    Here is what we did.
We came home.  Got into our more comfortable clothing.  Got on the internet and ordered pizza.  Sid likes to order pizza on the internet.  I like to let him.  I cannot tell you the last time I picked up the phone and ordered a pizza or even did it on the internet.  I bet it was in 2000 when I was home alone during the day during the summer at our trailer house in Glen Echo Trailer Park.  This was a stereotypical trailer park.  I ordered Papa John's and ate it and even had them bring me a cold 20 oz. Dr Pepper.  It was good.  I can still remember how good that food tasted going down my esophogas into my stomach that was overly crowded by a growing brown-eyed brown-haired girl.  That was not what I had ordered.  Sometimes God knows you better than you know yourself.  Actually, He always does.

What was I talking about?  Oh yeah.  We ordered pizza.
Then, we went to town and got the pizza.
Oh, first, Sid went into Mac's and got cold white creamy stuff.  Ice cream.  Vanilla & chocolate because all the Blue Bell flavors overwhelmed him, so he went basic.  But, he did tell me he didn't know why he didn't just get me the Groom's Cake kind.
Then, we went to get pizza.

We came home and moved the couches around to a more comfortable viewing position and spread blankets out in the floor, as well... and settled in to eat pizza on paper plates and out of the box and watch a movie.
Then, we had a little leftover candy from our trip to NW AR this weekend and then ate some ice cream.

It was the perfect Sunday afternoon meal.  Ever.

Then, we all took a nap and slept until 7.  And then, we went to Wal-Mart to get food.

    The end.
